MUKTI KUTIR is a cottage built as symbol of Life Long friendship of two freedom fighters of Liberation War together in 1971. Col Mohammed Abdus Salam, Bir Protic and Professor Ziauddin Ahmed, MD as a student came out of their house on 02 April 1971 to unknown destination to fight back the murdering Pakistan Army. After Crossing the Indian border they joined the rebel Bengali army forces in area of Teliapara Tea garden, Sylhet. They fought in the battle field with second East Bengal Regiment under Sector-3. Both after Liberation War 1971, they continued to harbour the spirit of freedom and have been relentlessly working from home and abroad for the disadvantaged people of Bangladesh for the last 50 years. Bashbari NRB Village is a dream project of Prof. Ziauddin Ahmed, Sadeque who wanted to provide a welcoming gesture and a strong platform to the nonresident Bangladeshis who are willing contribute in the development of Bangladesh. The village is being developed as rural residential enclave with green environment and dedicated also to improve the lives of the villagers. Col Mohammed Abdus Salam, Bir Protik worked very hard for the development of the NRB Village.
